The perfect drink to cheer up a Sunday brunch!
Servings: around 125 ml (1/2 cup) apple syrup
Preparation and Cooking Time: 30 minutes
500 ml (2 cup) apple juice
1 cinnamon stick
1. In a pan, combine apple juice and cinnamon stick, then bring to a boil.
2. Reduce heat to medium-high and let liquid reduce around 20 minutes or until it thickens slightly. Remove cinnamon stick.
3. Let cool the resulting syrup.
4. Pour a little syrup to taste in champagne flutes and top up with sparkling wine. Serve right away.
Note: Be careful not to boil the juice for too long or it will harden and turn into taffy. This apple syrup can also be drizzled over pancakes and waffles.
