Kids dreams can come true with this series of crafts in support of SickKids Foundation!

  • To realize this beautiful firetruck, you will need:
  • -1 empty Allen’s 1.89L bottle
  • -1 regular eggbox
  • -Red, black and white paint (mix white and black to make grey).
  • -Your favorite paintbrushes
  • -Scissors
  • -4 paper straws
  • -1 flexible straw of any kind
  • -Around 10 toothpicks
  • -Nontoxic liquid glue
  • -Cardboard sheets
  • -Twist on wire connectors or anything that looks like a tiny cap
  • -Any other accessories your imagination is thinking of
  • The steps:
    1. Start this project by cutting off the top of the eggbox making sure you have enough length to connect the cap to the wide part of the bottle. This will form the hood of the truck.
Keep the bottom of the eggbox and cut a row to keep 2 egg’s compartments linked.
  • Then, paint all these parts the color you desire.
  • 2. Use the sharp sides of the toothpicks to insert them in each straw to create the ladders steps.
  • 3. Twist or glue the cap at the top of the flexible straw and fold it to form a hose. Stick it on the cardboard sheet.
  • 4. Use your creativity and assemble all the parts in a way of creating the beautiful firetruck you ever dream of! Don’t hesitate to add accessories, color, or any details you want. Let your imagination guide you!
