Ingredients

Garnish
180 ml (3/4 cup) Cortland apple, peeled, seeded and diced (about 1 medium apple)
10 mL (2 teaspoons) brown sugar

Crumble
30 mL (2 tablespoons) quick oats
15 ml (1 tablespoon) brown sugar
15 mL (1 tablespoon) unbleached all-purpose flour
(1 tablespoon) softened butter

Directions
  1. In a cup, mix the apple and the brown sugar.

  2. In a small bowl, place the oatmeal, brown sugar and flour. Add the butter and mix with your fingertips until the texture is lumpy. Put this mixture on the apple. Cook in the microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until the juice is bubbling

  3. Be careful, it’s hot! Let it cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.
